Episode 22: Doctor Sleep

Jill and Caryn are finally able to watch the adaptation of one of Caryn’s favorite books: DOCTOR SLEEP (2019; Warner Bros., Intrepid Pictures, Vertigo Entertainment). They’re not sure what they enjoyed more, their dinner or the movie, so they talk at length about both.

BOOK SPOILERS WARNING: As per usual, the spoilers section of this episode spoils the ending of the movie, but Caryn also spoils many differences from the book. (She can’t help it – she gets wound up and just starts ranting.)

• Watch it with: Folks who have seen the 1980 Stanley Kubrick version of “The Shining” so they can appreciate all the amazing callbacks and references.
